“Navigating a Bio-Pharma Industry Career Path”

For BME grads contemplating a career outside of academia, the world of biotechnology-pharmaceuticals (bio-pharma) can feel like a black box or foreign country. When I was a student, I couldn’t really answer basic questions like, “How do scientific discoveries become marketed drugs?” or “What do biotech companies look for in job candidates?” The goal of this presentation is to share my work experiences with you in order to help demystify bio-pharma, give you a sense of what to expect on the job, and stimulate/enhance your own professional explorations. Lectures are boring; please ask questions freely to make for a more lively and useful discussion. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you soon!
