A team of biomedical engineering undergraduates partnered with veterinarians from the UC Davis veterinary hospital’s Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service to create a custom 3D printed exoskeleton as a cast for dogs with injured skulls. They had a chance to put their design in action when Loca, a 4-month-old female Staffordshire bull terrier who was severely bitten by another dog, arrived for help.
