On Friday evening, Eduardo Silva signed the offer letter that our department presented to him, signifying his acceptance to join the Department of Biomedical Engineering as our newest faculty member. Dr. Silva fills our position in translational stem cell bioengineering.  He has a Ph.D. from Harvard University and the University of Porto; his post-doctoral work has been at Harvard with David Mooney.  He will join BME formally on November 1, 2011.
