A new study published this week in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has discovered a key mechanism by which dietary omega-3 fatty acids (fish oils) could reduce  tumor growth and spread of cancer. The research was a collaboration between the Ferrara Lab, which did the imaging, lead author Guodong Zhang (UC Davis Entomology and Comprehensive Cancer Center), and researchers at Harvard University.
