POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE

The Immuno-modulatory Biomaterials Laboratory is now accepting applications for a postdoctoral associate. Please read the description for the position below.

Position Description: A full-time postdoctoral position is available to study immuno-engineering to develop novel, biomaterial-based immunotherapeutics. The successful candidate will work on multidisciplinary projects aimed at generating microparticles for autoimmune disease therapy. For this highly collaborative position, the successful applicant will be expected to work closely with other faculty in the Biomedical Engineering department, and researchers at UC Davis School of Medicine and the UC Davis College of Biological Sciences.

Position Requirements: The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or related field with demonstrated expertise working with biomaterials, immune cell, excellent primary culture skills, and a strong background in molecular biology and liquid chromatography. Qualified applicants must have experience working successfully in a team setting, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong publication record. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise using various biomedical imaging modalities, small animal procedures, and those who have a strong track record as graduate students of engineering, materials science, and/or biological research as evidenced by their published work.
