Angelique Louie, Jinyi Qi and David Fyhrie, professors in the Biomedical Engineering Department at UC Davis, have been elected as Fellows of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) in the 2012 listing just released. There were 107 individuals elected to the College, who will be inducted at the Fellow Induction and Awards Ceremony at AIMBE’s 21st Annual Event on February 20, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C.
The inductees, who were nominated by their peers, were screened committees of Fellows within their specialty and were finally elected by the full College as the official College of Fellows Class of 2012. The College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers in the country. Engineering and medical school chairs, research directors, innovators, and successful entrepreneurs, comprise the College of Fellows to pursue AIMBE’s mission to provide leadership and advocacy in medical and biological engineering for the advancement of society.
