Position Description: A full-time postdoctoral position is available to study phagocyte biology at the molecular and cellular scale using transcriptomics and optical imaging. The successful candidate will work on multidisciplinary projects aimed at understanding controlled vomocytosis in phagocytic cells. For this highly collaborative position, the successful applicant will be expected to work closely with other faculty in the Biomedical Engineering department, and researchers at UC Davis School of Medicine and the UC Davis College of Biological Sciences.
Position Requirements: The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a related field with demonstrated expertise working in biomaterials, transcriptomics, and immunology. Qualified applicants must have experience working successfully in a team setting, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong publication record. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise using various biomedical imaging modalities, RNA seq, and flow cytometry. We seek highly self-motivated individuals with the appropriate skillset.
