Position: Postdoctoral Scholars in Microphysiological Systems
Salary: $48,000 – $52,000
Start Date: July 1, 2017 preferred, but not required.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for one or more positions as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the areas of tissue engineering, microphysiological systems (“organ-on-a-chip”), stem cell biology, tumor microenvironment, and cardiomyocyte biology. The initial appointment will be full-time, for a 12 month period. The salary range is $48,000 – $52,000 per year, and will be commensurate with experience. Renewal of the contract will be contingent upon the availability of adequate funding and performance.
Requirements: A strong background in tissue engineering, angiogenesis, endothelial cell biology, stem cell biology, cardiomyocyte biology, or tumor biology is required. The position requires a Ph.D. in biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field, as well as excellent communication and writing skills.
