The Simon laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UC Davis is seeking PhDs and MD/PhDs who are interested in studying innate immunity at the molecular and cellular scale using optical imaging and microfluidics. Prospective candidates training background may include but are not limited to: (1) Immunology, (2) Biophysics/Biochemistry/Bioengineering, and (3) Molecular biology. Preference will be given to applicants with strong hands-on experience and knowledge in microscopy, flow cytometry, cell biology, and microfabrication based lab-chip technology, as well as strong data analysis/modeling skills. We are seeking highly self-motivated individuals rather than candidates with specific research areas/skills. All PhDs and MD/ PhDs with good scientific accomplishment are encouraged to apply.
