Prof. K.A. Athanasiou represented the Biomedical Engineering Department at SARTA’s “Sacramento Med Tech Showcase” on May 6, 2011. Prof. Athanasiou served on a committee that selected the Claire Pomeroy Award recipient for 2011. He also presented and chaired a panel discussion on Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapies. SARTA is a non-profit organization founded to foster entrepreneurial growth in emerging technologies and attract venture capital to the greater Sacramento region. This was the second annual Med Tech Showcase, which offers opportunities to connect with the vibrant med tech sector in the greater Sacramento region.
