“El Soldado” is a monument at the State Capitol dedicated to all Hispanic/Latino service members. Nationally, it is the only monument recognizing the military contributions of Latino veterans from all branches of our military to be located on state capitol grounds. The TEAM Prototyping Facilities are working with the California Department of Veterans Affairs to repair and restore the memorial, which was first erected in 1951. TEAM made a 3D printed model of the proposed new memorial for the agency to use in efforts to raise funds for the restoration. Restoring El Soldado pays tribute to Latino Veterans and Service members—past, present, and future. For more information on El Soldado, click here.
